Prerequisite(s): CRT 1140, CRT 1230. Examines new methods of construction and advanced materials to ensure structural integrity of the vehicle is maintained. Teaches the processes and implications involved to return the vehicle to its original design and structural specifications. Teaches removal, alignment, welding, bonding, and corrosion protection technology needed to replace structural components including rails, pillars, and all weld-on panels. Examines safety implications of the new materials and procedures in current and future vehicle designs. Includes industry specific lecture, demonstrations, and lab.Software fee of $10 applies. Lab access fee of $45 for computers applies.
