This course is designed for modern dance and ballet majors to understand and communicate production elements of dance performance. The course covers the theory of lighting, hands-on preparation of the stage, practical projects in lighting, introduction to stage management, criticism of lighting design and production elements as they apply to dance performance, and a practicum in lighting a specific dance work within the semester. Prerequisites: "C-" or better in DANC 3261 OR Department Consent.
