Description:
This course is a continuation of concepts learned in Concert Production/Live Sound I. The course covers the components of a typical sound system, including loudspeakers, loudspeaker management, analog and digital mixing consoles, inboard and outboard effects, microphones, monitors and general stage setup. This course also touches on venue acoustics, basic aesthetics of live sound mixing, and working with clients (promoters, stage managers, and musicians on stage) as well as technicians. (As needed) PREREQUISITE: MUSC 6300 with a grade of C- or higher, or permission of the instructor.
