This course is an introduction to experimental and avant garde filmmaking and cinema. This hands-on production based course will expose students to alternative film and video history, diverse experiences, artistic practice, and experimental methods of filmmaking. Students will be encouraged to push the boundaries of conventional cinema and experiment with the material and conceptual possibilities of filmmaking to create their own film projects.
