Description:
This laboratory skill course focuses on conditions that affect children across the lifespan and provides opportunities for Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) students to learn about and practice essential primary care skills. The FNP student will receive instruction from interprofessional peers and nurse practitioner faculty on diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for various conditions in the pediatric population. This lab experience includes procedural skills, management strategies, patient education, charting, and billing codes for common healthcare conditions.
