Prerequisite(s): EXSC 2500 and EXSC 3500 with a C- or higher and University Advanced Standing. Introduces students to the theory and application of therapeutic exercise techniques and rehabilitation protocols. Examines physiological and anatomical principles underlying injury recovery. Focuses on design and progression of rehabilitation protocols for common musculoskeletal conditions. Investigates concepts in tissue healing, functional progressions, and exercise prescription for restoring mobility, strength, and progressive return to activity. Teaches students to independently implement rehabilitation protocols. Provides a broad conceptual framework to support further study in clinical and allied fields.
